What is keratin lash lift?
Lash lifts and tints have been around for over 25 years but known as Lash Perming. Using the same solution as perming your hair, a rod was adhered to the eyelid attaching the lashes to the rod with an adhesive and then applying perm solution, then neutralizer following with a black or brown tint. Voila…beautifully curled dark lashes! But like everything in the industry, the permed lash was reborn as a Keratin Lash Lift using less aggressive products, allowing the client to do it more often without frying the eyelash.
Approximately 16 years ago, eyelash extensions were introduced to the world and lash perming became a thing of the past. However, lash extensions must be maintained approximately every 2 weeks, so for those clients that do not have the time, nor the finances to upkeep eyelash extensions, the Keratin Lash Lift and Tint has become more popular. This ever-growing popular treatment should be maintained approximately every 6-8 weeks. So for those clients that don’t take kindly to maintenance this is the perfect service for them.
What is brow henna?
Henna is a product that has been around for thousands of years. It has been used for hair dye, body art, and more. Brow Henna is a tint that stains the skin, giving clients up to 10 days of make-up free eyebrows. It is a temporary way for your client to try out a shape before committing to permanent makeup, to create the appearance of a fuller brow, and as a service before going on vacation. There are many colors that range from the lightest blond to the darkest black and are perfect for your silver haired clients.
The process may seem simple, but mastery shaping skills are needed for brows that keep clients and their referrals coming back for more. After the brows are cleaned and shaped, the henna is carefully applied and pushed past the hairs and onto the skin. Multiple applications can be performed to obtain a darker stain or “ombre” effect.
What’s the difference between tinting and henna brows?
Eyebrow tint modifies the eyebrow hairs and can last from 4-6 weeks depending on the client. It is an amazing service for clients that love their shape but want to enhance their brow hair color.
Brow Henna stains the eyebrow skin and hairs. The tinted skin can last up to 2 weeks and up to 6 weeks on the hairs. The stain on the skin provides a shadow behind the hairs creating a beautiful eyebrow shape.
What is Brow Lamination?
Brow Lamination is a keratin-based treatment service that smooths and straightens unruly brow hairs. You can compare it to a Brazilian Blowout. This service greatly benefits bushy brows that are hard to keep in place. It is also a great addition to microbladed brows.
This non-invasive, temporary service will leave your clients with perfectly shaped, smooth brow hairs. Perform this service while conducting a lash lift & tint to give your clients an easy, low maintenance, affordable look.
Using a keratin solution, brow hairs are brushed upwards, then set with fixing solution and cling film, then conditioned. Your clients will be ecstatic with their fabulous results lasting 6-8 weeks, they’ll be coming back for more.
